We have now been on five cruises with Norwegian and have enjoyed all of them. We visited some really interesting places on this cruise, and the excursions (all booked through Norwegian) were excellent.

The downside to this was the Spirit. It was very dated. Most of the speciality restaurants didn't have windows looking out onto the sea, most other ships did. Our suite was shabby, and the bathroom really had seen better days. The thing that I really disliked though was that there was an overhang over the balcony which meant that the balcony never ever got any sun. Consequently the suite seemed dark and the only natural light was in the sitting room. If you are booking a suite, do not book 9000 and probably all the suites along the front of the ship.

Having said that, we noticed that the food on this ship was sometimes better than we'd had on other NCL cruises. We liked the Asian restaurant, which is now complimentary with no reservations. The food in there was very good. We also had great service from our concierge Omar and our butler Seka, they really went the extra mile. On my birthday they decorated the suite with balloons and streamers, and a lovely cake! Overall we thought that the service on the ship was very good, all the staff greeted us and were friendly.
