This was our first cruise, booked on recommendation by a friend of ours mere weeks before departure. We had no real idea of what to expect beyond a big boat!!

Travel to the port was a mundane experience as to be expected but once we were on board the serious experience of cruising began!! The staff of the Royal Princess are beyond polite and helpful. The surroundings are plush, beautiful and well thought out. The staterooms are comfortable and functional and as we had a balcony the views were amazing!

The 17...yes 17...different places to eat all served food that was never disappointing nor lacking in any way. From simple snacks and nibbles to gourmet cooking that would not be out of place on a big city menu! You have NO reason to go hungry on this ship!!

Balcony

Cabin BW

It's a tight (ish) fit, lovely comfortable queen size bed and on-suite bathroom/shower. We were lucky to get a free upgrade from interior to a balcony room one deck below the pool deck and Horizon restuarant so we had zero complaints. It's kept clean and tidy twice a day by your own attendant and the bed is very comfortable.

Big tv on the wall showing lots of movies, tv shows, live tv, ship broadcasts, entertainment etc is also a bonus!

Good safe for you valuables is provided too.
