We spent two days pre-cruise in an airport hotel in Elizabeth, NJ, praying the storm would change course...and it did just in time for our sail away. The winds caused very rough seas for a couple days but our excellent Captain Kate got us underway w/o any major problems. Note to fellow cruisers: ALWAYS pack Dramamine! Better safe than sorry (sick??)

We have cruised w/Celebrity enough times that we are Elite Status. I think it speaks well for the cruise line that about half the passengers on this cruise were Elite Status. Read that return customers.

We were on a "leaf Peeper" type cruise from Bayonne, NJ to include several New England and Canadian ports, including Quebec. Unfortunately for us, this has been a very mild fall so most of the trees hadn't turned yet. It rained a bit but nothing torrential. We took two private tours and two ship sponsored excursions. One of the ship sponsored excursions was absolutely NOT a good value for the money. And yes, I did say exactly that to Patrick, head of the Excursion Department. He very generously refunded a portion of the ticket price, which I appreciated very much. If I am allowed, I want to give Bill Murray of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island a HUGE thank you for the wonderful private excursion we took w/his company, "Take the Island Adventure Tour". All I can say is this is the best tour we took of the entire cruise. Send Bill an email if you need a tour in PEI. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Port Reviews

Boston

This shuttle ride should have been free since the ship was docked so far away from "town". I believe it was about $49.00 per person. next time we will take a cab!
