Sail Date: Sep 2015

My Wife and I recently returned from a week on Thomson's 'Majesty' (Adriatic Explorer) from 25th September to 2nd October, 2015. The flight from Manchester to Corfu was long and drawn-out because of bad weather conditions preventing us from landing in Corfu (along with 4 other flights). After a long spell circling around we were diverted to Thessaloniki (Greece) to refuel. We eventually landed in Corfu 3 hours late. The ship thankfully waited for us and we attended a late safety drill. We were offered a cold buffet meal before finally going to bed at 4.30am.

We had an outside cabin which was very small. Unfortunately the double bed was tightly fixed parallel with the window. This meant that if one got out of bed you had to climb over the other person. This was totally unacceptable. Sadly, despite requesting a move we were advised that it was not possible because the ship was fully occupied. It took us a couple of days to recover because we had little sleep.

The Itinerary was good: Koper, Venice, Split, Dubrovnik and Kotor. Koper was very quiet (as it was Sunday) and some places of interest were closed. However all the other stops were very interesting and we had good weather. Venice was as magic as ever and there was big crowds to fight through. Split was delightful, with a lovely seafront with the old and new town to explore. Dubrovnik and Kotor were also extremely interesting, walking around the narrow alleyways both surrounded by walls.

Cabin Review

Cabin outside

Too small - the double bed was fixed against the wall (parallel with window). Not enough wardrobe space.
