We have sailed on the Magic before and loved it. This time we enjoyed it as the staff was outstanding and Rev Dr. E kept things going all the time. BUT, the food was disappointing at times and the trivia was not as much fun. Our hosts for trivia didn't seem all that excited about hosting it. Also, on our last Magic cruise Jay was the emcee for the Karaoke and he was a blast. This time, not so much fun. The Piano bar was not quite as fun, either.

Note for embarkation: don't bring plastic bottled drinks for the cruise. Don't know why but they will not allow them and will confiscate them as you board. Easy and pretty quick toget on the ship. We used E-Z park and it was fine.

Our room was 2373 and what a BAD choice that was. All night every night we heard booming and scraping of chairs or tables from the galley. We complained but was told there were no more rooms to move us to. It seems like they could just not use those couple of rooms or put extra insulation in to protect the noise level at the wee hours of the morning and late at night. They returned a small portion of our money but the noise all week made for nights with little sleep (and I can usually sleep anywhere.) Other than the noise we enjoyed our Cove Balcony room and the nearness to the water was great. Our steward was so sweet we wanted to bring him home with us for a neighbor!
