Sail Date: Oct 2015

We just returned from the Carnival Magic Western Caribbean tour that left Galveston on October 11, 2015. The trip mainly consisted of long lines over and over. On one occasion they wanted you leave the comedy club and join a long line to come back to the very spot where you were. The port exposure was very limited due to the short stops in each port. In Cozumel you actually had five - six hours of free time after you left the Carnival city they built at the pier. On your return, you had to wait for over an hour to get back on the ship in the hot sun. The long wait was in part, because Carvinal was not wanting to lose revenue on a single can of soda, water or beer that you might bring on board. They provided no Purell hand sanitizer at any port. There was no encouragement of hand sanitizing before entry to food stations. IMHO the cruise director got to be a little old after the first hour.

On the positive side the food was better than I had remembered from a prior Carnival cruise. The room steward was excellent. Overall the ship was very clean.
