My wife and I Embarked in the River Ambassador on Oct 3,2015. Our trip ended Oct 13,2015 with the 2 days land extension in Prague. The crew was fantastic. They paid attention to the smallest detail to make our cruise enjoyable. The cruise director and hotel manager were always available to cater to our smallest wish. Food was great and special attention was given to passengers with special dietary needs. The chef and dining room supervisor were always on hand to make sure that everything went well. When not busy with his official duties or steering the ship, the captain was also making rounds and saying hello. The shore excursions were carefully organized and there were plenty of options.

When we checked in on Sunday I mentioned briefly to the very pleasant receptionist that October 17 was our wedding anniversary. On the second cruise day we were surprised when we opened the door to our room and found that our bed was decorated with a giant bow and rose petals and there was bottle of champagne on ice and 2 cups. Our wonderful room attendant did a beautiful job.

This short review is not enough to adequately describe our experience. We want everybody to know that this river cruise was better than any ocean cruise we have taken. With about 100 passengers and 44 cruise staff,there are plenty of people ready to pamper you. I want to caution parents with children that the nature of the cruise is not suited for kids (there isn't much for kids to do); but if you can leave the kids at home with relatives or a nanny,you won't be sorry.
