The reason we chose this cruise was the itinerary. We had never been to either country and looked at this cruise as a great introduction to these cultures and countries. The result was as expected. We loved what we saw enough to start looking at a return visit sometime in the future.

As for Celebrity, it's our favorite line. The Equinox was beautiful ship, though sometime noisy with it's atrium filled with load music. We had a great cabin, terrific service from a very friendly, enthusiastic staff, and excellent food (and servers) everywhere we looked. What could be better then that? Well, maybe some better main theater entertainment would have helped.

The three stage shows by the on-board singers and dancers and the Beatle's tribute group were fantastic. The two female soloists were great, the comedian was very funny (but brief) and the string quartet was very entertaining. But, beyond that, the two or three other evening feature shows were mediocre at best. Some nights audience attendance reflected that. And finally, the cruise director (Rich) appeared a bit uncomfortable most nights and during announcements. We were told this was his first cruise on the Equinox and with this staff, so maybe he will settle in over the balance of his contract.
