Sail Date: Oct 2015

Traveled on the NCL Dawn from Quebec City to Boston in early October 2015.

Due to weather and flight delays from JFK we did not get into Quebec City till 1:30 in the morning on the second day of the Dawn anchored there. We were told by NCL Reservations if not on the ship by 11 pm we should call. When calling from NYC we were told by a NCL Supervisor that if not on ship by 11 pm are trip was going to be cancelled. Then another employee got on and said you are going to have to get a motel room and try to board the ship after 7 in the morning. Other people traveling with us on the plane were given different stories. We took a chance and when to ship and found they have 24 hour boarding. Why didnt reservations know that and eliminate some anxiety.

This is my ninth cruise on NCL ships and this by far was the worst buffet ever. Food was overcooked, dry and in some cases the meat was not fresh and burgers tasted old. A lot of passengers had same feelings. The service in the main dining room Venitian is very slow and disorganized. The Aqua was better. I cant believe you cant get lunch on the Dawn any where till 11:30. Other cruises it was 1030 or eleven. And the 24 hour rest. Blue Lagoon serves breakfast too till 11:30 when everyone else is. Why cant they be different.
