This was our second cruise on the Splendor this year we when on the vehicle back in August to the Carb (see my review on that) Getting there was a horror as NYC had bike race outside closing down the West Side Highway and took us extra hour and half to get the pier and park our car. That delay was Godspeed as we check in and where on the boat within 10 minutes and no wait. Which was great. This my wife birthday cruise and we got it almost free due to casino play on pre cruises. There were hardly no kids and this was mostly a senior cruise. Could had Wheel chair races on the deck. So a free cruise and the room we got was no complain.

1) Dinning and food was ok same as last cruise. But they cut back a lot on amount. Probably so many seniors. The free style sitting we took. We missed out very super waitress still can't say her name. But if you get a blonde smiling middle age waitress who saying bop be you got the best one in the seven sea with a golden heart. Everyone loves her and want to be by her. We had many others, but service was not great as some felt they did not wanted to be there. But the girls up front we all knew from last cruise was great and go us to sit were we want. The Black head officer is a real great gent also. He runs everything well.

2) Entertainment was slotting in casino. Some new machine's But personal for me the smoke and could never get a seat or machine. This cruise was a freebie one as many were in there to get another by throwing away money. The machine were probably set to give low payback and we hear it. But it did stop people on wasting their money playing with little rewards.

Cabin Review

Interior Upper/Lower

Cabin 1A

We had an insider cable on the 7th floor. After remembering the boat from out August trip it was good because I know which way to get to the dining rooms and without taking extra lifts to get there. It a box room, bed was a hard rock with the rough sea a couple night it was not fun sleeping. A hurricane was coming up the coast and at last minute blow out to sea, but the waves from it battle the hull and the boat was really rocking the first night into the next day. The higher you are up on the boat the more your felt it. Turing on channel 19 on the TV is way to know night and day. But if you not in the room it is fine.

Port Reviews

Saint John (New Brunswick)

Rainy day, no tour as there not much to do. We walk up to the mails and Museum and Farmer Markets and then the Tent by the boat.

Portland (Maine)

We book our own city tour outside and when to eat and shop. Like any other middle American city. We did not walk to museums too far away. But nice place.
