First time with P&O and sadly the last. Been on Celebrity many times but agent suggested this cruise, seen the adverts and it looked good so gave it a go. We paid over five thousand for the rust bucket we sailed on Oceana. First arrived no problem straight on to ship waited a few hours for luggage but that was fine. Very dated and once we started to really look around noticed how dirty it was, our stewardess was Zenda and she was great. Second day noticed the smell of sewage and this continued for the rest of cruise.

The food was not hot just tepid this continued throughout cruise. Second day we hit bad weather this is when we found out our door to the balcony leaked and the carpet was wet it also didn't seal properly and the wind howled all night. Shortage of sun loungers caused plenty of arguments on deck. Plenty of waiters but only one person doing drinks in costa so waited ages for drinks shortage of seats there as well. It took us on a table of eight over two hours for dinner good job everyone on the table got on, waiters had to many tables to serve and looked stressed all the time but we're very polite they did a good job considering the work load.

Buckets in the corridors due to leaks many times. We did not book excursions with P&O just to expensive went with another company but found the crew were very unhelpful to passengers also on trips to the point people missed trips due to lack of information on how to get out of port to meet buses. Entertainment was poor if you could get a seat. We had a guest speaker to talk about your trip onto the afterlife very apt on this cruise. First day in Venice was woken up at 7.50am to the sound of workmen in next cabin hammering rust off pipe work no notice this was going to happen and had towels on chairs which where covered in paint chipping balcony was a mess and had a pot of paint left the smell was awful this took till the day before end of cruise to be cleaned up.
