Sail Date: Sep 2015

We never tire of the fall Canada- New England cruises and the NCL Jewel class ships are the perfect way to enjoy the wonderful ports, fine food and service, and the ambience of well designed, well staffed ships. The North Atlantic Autumn sails tend to attract more experienced cruising passengers and occasional rough seas and cool weather are taken in stride.

The Gem is a lovely ship, size, activities, entertainment and staff friendliness and attitude are all excellent. My wife and I have cruised more tan 70 times and the Canada- New England remain among our favorites. The Jewel class ships are top notch and offer many vantages for sea views. The Spinnaker lounge and Atrium are great places to hang out, enjoy the music and enjoy a libation and conversation. Le Bistro French restaurants on these ships rank with the best at sea.

From boarding to disembarkation this was a flawless cruise experience. Taking in the N Y city skyline and beginning the sail passing by the Statue of Liberty and through the Verrazano bridge set the stage for the seven adventure filled days to follow. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are a cruisers delight. The ships are large enough to offer excellent entertainment and provide a more relaxed unstressed crew that is eager to please. No lines, no crowds and minimal noise. Great value on a laid-back freestyle vacation.
