Sail Date: Dec 2014

Background: This was my first cruise, back in December '14. I've had a few others since then. Myself: late 20's, no kids, cruised with family but stayed on my own.

Ship info: The ship was great. It's huge, and very well kept. The theming and decorations were fantastic, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The ship was also the most 'calm' (in terms of sea movement) I've experienced thus far.

Activities: The ship itinerary was Cozumel and Belize, and several sea days. Cozumel was beautiful, though overly touristy. Worth killing a few hours wandering, drinking, and eating, and just admiring the beachfront shops. Belize, sadly, is a total hole. The country is beautiful - the rest I could take or leave. Luckily I had an excursion in Belize that made up for it - but Belize itself is a very poor, very run-down country, and it's reflected in the port and surrounding city.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Painless process, took an hour or so to get onto the ship.

Cozumel

Cozumel is beautiful, though marred a bit by the overwhelming amount of touristy crap. We walked a mile or so of the 'main stretch' along the beach, which luckily offsets the shops and touristy stuff enough to make it an enjoyable atmosphere. Have a few drinks, buy a few trinkets, and enjoy the weather!
