I have travelled with P&O since 1997. My first cruise with them was on the Camberra. I have also done the World Cruise visiting so many countries. I would recommend a World Cruise for once in a lifetime experience. I was a bit puzzled when I got on board I was not part of the Penisular club until I enquired at the desk. Apparently, because I had moved house in the last year since my lat cruise, my records was wiped out. I need to enquire what happened to all my points from my previous cruises as I changed name and address. I should have more points, but don't know who to ask.
I travelled to the Port with my son-in-law who offered to drop me there, as usual, the traffic was bad, but we got there in the end. My bags were taken and I did not see them until I got to my cabin. My check-in went very smoothly as there was only a couple of passengers booking in.
Adonia is a lovely little ship, with a big heart - as she was referred to - but 1 month long cruise was too long for me, although we visited some lovely little Islands such as Gythion,Piraeus, Kusadasi,Mytilene, Samos,Mykonos, Santorini,Agios Nikolaos, Monemvasia, I had never heard of these Islands ! On some of those Islands, the houses were built in the rocks. I took lots of photos, but lost them all as I lost the battery in my camera. the cover became undone and the battery fell off. I was gutted.
Unobstructed. I was very pleased with my cabin which was quite spacious, and my cabin Steward (Moses) was extremely helpful.
Very pleased with the ports of call. Being on my own, I did not go on excursions.
