We were a multi generational group. Five adults. My husband and I were in a suite. r610. My mother, a single fee, in a balcony. R602. And, my aunt and uncle in an interior room in r716. For the thousands of dollars we spent on rooms alone, we were appalled that those in charge of the ship build and design signed off on the ridiculous design mistakes. No stairs mid ship. Sure. I read reviews but thought that couldn't possibly be a big deal. Oh yes. It is a blunder beyond blunders. We waited 15 minutes plus for an elevator to go just a few floors either up to the Lido or a few more floors to the dining room or piazza area. Senior folks cannot do the stairs. Younger folks can. We are in our fifties. The rest of our party in their early to mid 70's. We can take the stairs. Seniors can't. BIG mistake on the design.
For the suites, we had many perks. Tender priority boarding for starters. Either Princess doesn't train this staff well, or Princess won't acknowledge priority boarding if they don't feel like it. DON'T offer it if you don't mean it or haven't trained staff to acknowledge a priority tender pass. It took us TWO hours to tender from ship to Newport, Rhode Island. One word: ridiculous.
Concierge for the suites ... Rarely there. Sure. She put out signs stating her odd, easy to forget hours .... But she was seldom there. On our Crystal Cruise and HAL concierge is available 24/7.
Gorgeous. But, concierge seldom there. Perks for suites not acknowledged except for dinner reservations.
Love this city. Do hop on hop off
Cost $14.95 to have a shuttle take us three blocks from Quincy market. Waste of money
Absolutely fantastic.
