We thoroughly enjoyed our week on board Thomson Celebration and loved the itinerary. I chose this cruise mainly because it included Venice but we were also delighted with Croatia, especially Rovinj and Split.

Undoubtedly the ship is quite old but it's far from shabby and as its on the small side you soon find your way around. Our inside cabin had twin beds and plenty of storage space but no fridge. The shower room was small but kept really clean by the housekeeper Jane and the shower itself was powerful.

The ship is adults only and we found that in our early fifties we were among the younger element- which made a nice change! The food was excellent in both the waiter service restaurant and the self service lido restaurant. The only problem was that at breakfast time it was very busy in the lido and we sometimes struggled to find a table. We didn't try the two special restaurants you can pay extra for, we didn't see the need as we were happy with the food anyway.
