We just returned from a cruise on the Norwegian Getaway. We were travelling with a group of friends - 3 couples and 2 families of four (children ages 2 to 10) After reading all the reviews beforehand I have to admit I was a little skeptical about travelling on such a large ship; however, in doing some research beforehand and knowing what to expect we all had an incredible vacation and I would highly recommend NCL. This was my fourth cruise having traveled on Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Disney in the past.

Embarkation/Disembarkation:

This was a smooth process for all of us - we all arrived at different times and there were no issues for anyone. Keep in mind you are boarding 4000 people - but it did not take us more than about 30 minutes.

We walked over to Junkanoo beach and went to the Tiki Bikini Hut - great idea! Nice beach, good drinks if you want. It's a public beach so we just rented a few umbrellas and were good to go!
