Just got back from a 7 night cruise on the Carnival Valor out of Port Canaveral. Overall it was a very good cruise. This was my third Carnival cruise, the first two were aboard the Fantasy out of Charleston SC. My wife and I were cruising with 3 children ages 13, 11, and 8.

Embarkation: The initial stage was painfully slow. We were there early and it still took an hour to get through the first checkpoint. After the first checkpoint it moved very quickly.

The Ship: We were really happy with the Valor. Much roomier and in much better condition than our previous experiences on the Fantasy. We did not find it run down or outdated as I had read in reviews. Plenty of room for the number of people on board, never a real problem finding a table, deck chair, etc.

Larger than we expected. Clean, no problems with TV, plumbing, etc... 1 queen bed and one fold down sofa.
