Sail Date: Sep 2015
Cabin: Royal Suite with Full Open-Air Balcony

My husband and I are avid ocean cruisers but we wanted to try something different and booked the Royal Suite on the S.S. Antoinette. The ship was gorgeous and the staff were all outstanding in their efforts to please all onboard.

The problem that I had with the cruise was the fact that the little things like a real bar of soap in the bathroom and hair conditioner were not stocked or offered. As well, one night we received one tin of mints on a pillow, not two. It's the small details that appear "cost cutting" when a person is spending A LOT of money to be on the ship that really turned us off.

The meals were very good but not what I was expecting. We were hoping to get some foie gras or maybe escargot but we were offered beef and, one night, lamb. Again, for the price we paid, the food did not meet our expectations.

Royal Suite with Full Open-Air Balcony

Cabin RS

The Suite was very pretty but not very "functional". A sofa was positioned below the television and there was no seating to watch the tv. The furniture looked a bit worn and dirty.

Strasbourg

Took the bus into Strasbourg and found some wonderful shopping!! Don't miss seeing the Cathedral!!
