The weather was hot, but mostly clear sky and smooth seas. We have been on this ship several times before, but not since the refurbishing. Freedom class ships are a really nice size, with all the amenities. The food in the main dining room, buffet and Royal Promenade Cafes was all good, with plenty of variety, contrary to what some have said in their comments.
The production shows have not changed, but some of the singers did not seem as strong as previously. The ice show is always the highlight and this time was no exception. This cast had some of the strongest skaters we have seen in these shows. There was a new solo specialty act that consisted of a woman who not only skated but also performed aerial feats on a ring suspended above the ice. It was a great addition to the show, especially impressive as she combined two completely different performing skills in one act.
In the theater the cabaret acts consisted of an Elton John impersonator, who spent a little too much time chatting and not enough time performing the hits everyone was waiting for.
