It’s always fun to get a way and it is especially exciting to go on a cruise. The following are some of our experiences on the Holland America Maasdam Canada/New England cruise departing Montreal on 9/5.

This is one of our favorite itineraries. In addition to beautiful scenery, there is so much history to experience, lots of friendly people to meet and best of all, some of the finest seafood that you will find anywhere. For us, good weather is a very important aspect of our vacation, so we chose an early September itinerary. Later in September and through October, the weather can be too chilly for our liking. If we can’t enjoy our balcony, the trip will be a disappointment no matter how nice the ship is.

We lucked out with some terrific weather; Montreal/Quebec City/day at sea were all wonderful – very warm and sunny. Weather for the rest of the cruise was decent, some drizzle and rain but warm and that makes a lot of difference for us.

Spa Verandah Suite

Cabin BQ

Calling this cabin a "suite" is a little misleading. However it is in a great location with easy access to everything on the ship.
