Just got back from our cruise to Canada and Maine and we couldn't have asked for a more fantastic time aboard the Gem. I was a little leary after having read some reviews but believe me it was more than I expected. From the moment we stepped onboard we found the ship to be very clean and the staff exceptionally friendly. Our inside room was bigger than I expected after having a little 2x4 on the Breakaway. Our room steward Felix was excellent.

The shows were outstanding as usual. The dining staff was excellent and very efficient. The only complaint I have is I wish there were more options for dinner on the menu but was always able to find something that I liked and the food was delicious every night. Music in the lounges was very entertaining especially Kenosis. Cruise director Dan Dan was very entertaining and always had us laughing. The men's sexy leg competition by the pool is something not to miss. After cruising on the Breakaway this was l0 times better and being a smaller ship made it much easier to maneuver around. I would definitely go back on the Gem in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone. I also suggest don't always believe the negative reviews you read.
