NCL would not be my first choice, nor even my second.

Because I have a lot of criticisms, I am going to keep this as succinct as possible by writing in bullet points.

1. Frustrated that the bathrooms were out of order in the Port of Miami and embarkation took about 45 minutes.

2. For a ship that holds nearly 4,000 guests, we couldn't believe there were only two banks of elevators. Luckily, we're only 40 years old, so we took the stairs as often as we could. But we were "on the side of youth" on this cruise, so most people needed to wait for the elevators.

Cabin Review

Family Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B3

Cabin was lovely. Bathroom was great - had plenty of room in the shower.

Denry, our attendant, was fantastic. Always happy, smiling, quick to help us when we needed it. Just lovely.

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

We walked across the street and went up the cable car to see the gorgeous views. It was more convenient to do this on our own versus a cruise-sponsored excursion.

Then we took a cab into town and walked through the shops.

Tortola

We got a cab and took it to the beach. Was $8 per person.

Husband and I got chairs and an umbrellas at the beach. $13 total. We also rented paddleboards and tried that for first time. $30 total for 30 minutes. Included a lesson. The staff there was great!

The cab rides were awful. Felt like we were in a 3rd world country. But not NCL's fault.

Ate lunch at Pussers - very good food! Gotta order a Painkiller!!!

Nassau

Took a $4/pp cab ride to the Atlantis. Purchased the $42/pp tour ticket which included the aquariums. Can't believe how run down Atlantis is, for a hotel that is so expensive! Would have been disappointed in the aquarium had it not been for the predator area. The sharks and the hammerheads were very very cool. Glad we were there during feeding times.

Advice: eat lunch on the cruise ship before disembarking. We paid $10.50 per sandwich at Atlantis. They slapped on an 18% gratuity, when all she did was take the plastic-wrapped sandwiches out of the refridgerator, put them on a paper plate and hand them to us. Lunch cost us $30 for two crappy sandwiches and one bottle of water.

Unbelievable that the ticket line for Atlantis had only ONE window open. There were three cruise ships in port. We were the third set of guests in line, and it took us 25 minutes to get our entrance tickets.
