Thompson should take a long look at how its disappointing attitude lets down the extremely hard working crew in all areas of this ship. The ship shows its age in all areas from hatches on deck that are clearly rusted shut and painted over. To bent and scratched fitings and fixtures. To draw units that would be rejected by homeless shelters. To NOISY AIR CONDITIONING in cabins that keeps you awake or suffocates you when the heat mode works. If you have basic expectations for a cabin, then lower your expectations but be prepared to pay extra for lots and lots of things that are free as standard on all the other ships we have cruised on.£25.00 per week to use a safe in your cabin. Ice cream 2.00 upwards. If you expect steak on your dinner menu, then pay £10.00 upwards if you want it. Breandast ok but white bread for toast only but buns and pastries are available.

Also if you are tempted by the drinks package, be aware if you book before you go it may be a different price than on board. Upto 40.00 pounds per week more. But if you do get the D. P. The "Cruise Choice" drinks are poor quality , so if you ask for a whiskey and coke for.example it will be poor and the cocktails will use a pre mixed liqiud for the juice and spirit. So even if the drinks are mixed correctly it will not taste like it should. So if you do get the D.P. drink neat spirits even though your choice is limited. Don't drink the draught lager, its bad and there are no labels to tell you where it comes from. And if you can watch the barman make it, do, and complain or get it changed asap.if you don't you will be putting up with shoddy stuff all your cruise. The cabins if you are lucky can support a couple but don't expect 3 star standards. The cabins are tiny and if you want a specific one you will pay for the privilege ha. Anything from £30. To £60. When you book.

Not all cabins have a fridge, although tea and coffee is available in all. Room service is extra £5.00 per tray.and none of the drinks on the D.P. are Inc in room service. There are no extras apart from the above in cabins, no postcards no stationary not even a pen. cost cutting is a day to day deal on the majesty. So for two with D.P. with a flight from Luton with extra leg room, extra weight on your luggage and car parking for two weeks nearly £4 500. More than two weeks 4 star on P&O, Princess and Cunard. Sorry Thompson after our 1st cruise on theThompson celebration 12 years ago we we hooked but never again on Thompson.
