This was my 1st cruise & I was rather apprehensive after reading the previous reviews.
I had no need to worry though. We drove up to Southampton the day before from South Wales, only took us 3 hours & stayed in the Grand Harbour hotel which was nearly opposite the cruise terminal. The next morning we parked the car in the port, our cases were taken off us there & we didn't see them again until they were delivered to our cabin tea time. Boarding was so easy, took no more than 15 minutes and we were able to use all the amenities onboard.
The ship is beautiful, the main promenade is lovely with shops, bars & a 24 hour café.
Cain was all we needed, lovely big comfy bed, ample storage, toiletries provided in bathroom & good service from Sebastian who came in twice a day to clean.
Easy enough to walk around.
walked around & did open top bus
another fav, so clean & lovely, castle is a must see & try tapas
nice place to pend a few hours, walked around the old wall & the botanical gardens are lovely too
Yuck never going back again, didn't get Lisbon at all, dirty run down & couldn't wait to leave the place.
Stayed here the night before the cruise & was pleasantly surprised with the place, had a stroll around and an excellent Italian meal on the waterfront.
