The buy 1 get 1 cruise 1/2 off is a good savings, but we were very disappointed. We bought a package for soda, but the only time my husband could get a coke was when he actually bought a can. They were out of coke everywhere he tried to get it with our drink package. They ran out of cream all the time at the coffee shop on the Promenade, especially in the mornings. The dining room was not staffed well, the food was not very good. The Windjammer offered very little food at lunch and dinner compared to other RC cruises we have been on. The food in the Windjammer offered very little choices and was not very good. We upgraded to the Junior Suite which offers in-room coffee service but did not have the coffee packets for the coffeemaker. This was our 1st time in a suite so we were disappointed we couldn't have coffee service, but the room was so much bigger than a balcony room. The walk in closet was fantastic. We didn't care for the bathtub/shower and prefer the shower stall we had in previous rooms. The balcony is huge, room for 2 loungers, 2 chairs and a table. Most employees were very friendly and helpful. We heard lots of complaints from fellow passengers. Everything was on order????? If you go to the spa save yourself tons of $$$ and buy Elemis pro-collagen products on Amazon for less than half the price for most items. I do love the Elemis pro collagen products and can see a difference in my face in 2 weeks.

We arrived at San Juan at 4pm. Terrible time to arrive since it is dark within 2 hours. St. Maarten was pleasant, we took a water taxi and ate at the Blue Bitch Bar. Great food, friendly staff and the band outside on the beach was great. St. Kitts you are bugged and aggravated by the shop people and by local people on the street. Very annoying.

For 1st time cruisers, they would not have been impressed with this cruise or Royal Caribbean. We switched from Carnival to RC for better food, service, and now we will be switching to a different cruise line. very disappointed!!!

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

huge room compared to balcony rooms we had previous. Lots of storage, walk-in closet and large balcony. Didn't care for bathtub shower.

Port Reviews

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

rude employees in your face trying to sell you stuff or follow you around. bothered by locals on the street constantly to take tours. not a pleasant atmosphere at all

St. Maarten

Took the water taxi and ate at Blue Bitch Bar. Very nice staff, great food and the band outside on the beach was great. Very pleasant atmosphere and not bothered in stores to buy stuff.

San Juan

Didn't like this port at all.

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We bought the bus transfer from Ft. Lauderdale to cruise terminal thru RC for over $30.00 for 2 people, waited for bus to arrive for quite a while and then walked a very long way to the bus dragging our luggage, up and down curbs and sidewalks which was very hard for elderly passengers. DO NOT BUY THE BUS TRANSFER thru Royal Caribbean. We took a taxi when we disembarked for less than $20.00. The luggage valet program was great. We put our luggage outside our room the night before and didn't see it again until we landed at home.
