14 Night Cruise on the Explorer of the Seas September 2015
A little apprehension kicked in when for ecological reasons you print your own luggage tags, forgive me but to get four it took four sheets of paper instead of the eight you used to get on a single A4 sheet, methinks that it is for economical not ecological reasons. The last time we sailed with Royal Caribbean was in 2011, and then these were printed for you
We looked forward to this cruise and on first impressions the ship is beautiful. Sailing out of Southampton, Royal Caribbean seem to have tailored thing to the European style with tea and coffee making facilities in your cabins.
The cabin was clean and well kept, the stateroom attendant was brilliant and very attentive to our needs
Superb embarkation
Really nice town but closed on a Sunday
This port looked like the recent monetary crisis was having a major impact, lived up to its nickname
too little time in the port
What a pleasant surprise, we didn't use the overpriced RCL tours, but did our own thing
Apart from the hiatus on docking when the ship had to have a 2 degree list to port to enable the gangway to be connected.
The port is Getxo and Bilbao was approx 15kms away, what a little gem, will return and spend time walking around this interesting city
