Cabin: Neptune Deluxe Verandah Suite

This was our second cruise with Holland America. Our first was to Alaska on the Westerdam and was fantastic. We were also in the Neptune suites on that cruise.

Be careful if you are on the Maasdam Neptune level. Choose your room carefully. We were in room 022 which was directly below 7 tables with 28 chairs above us. The noise was horrendous with chairs being moved in and out constantly. The Neptune level on this ship and ones similar to it in the Holland America fleet are directly below the Lido deck with swimming pool, deck chairs, tables and table chairs. The Neptune suites are among the most expensive.

The Westerdam and similar ships in the Holland America fleet have another floor between the Lido deck and the Neptune level, which make them quiet rooms.

Check out the deck layouts before you choose your stateroom.
