The embarkation process was probably the smoothest of our 30+ sailings.
The ship was great. Very clean and the staff overall were fantastic; always personable and cheerful.
We originally had My time Dining, we did not go the first night as we ate at Izumi's. We found that everything was just as good as it was on the Serenade. Christian our server, was very attentive and professional. We totally enjoyed the dining experience.
Very adequate, except we think the shower shrunk! We are not big people and we both found the shower tight.
Everything worked and everything was tidy and clean. The balcony had two nice chairs and a small table to enjoy morning coffee.
We opted to stay in Boston for three days post cruise. Took in a Red Sox game; did a yummy walk food tour which was fantastic; and took in a bus tour of Cambridge, Lexington and Concord, it too was excellent.
We opted to do Bar Harbor on our own. What a neat little place. Bar Harbor is what one expects of a coastal town in Maine. We ate at the West Street Cafe, it was fantastic. After dinner we headed to The Morning Glory Bakery, very neat place. We then wandered the streets and shopped. If you are a pet person, be sure to visit "Bark Harbor." Very friendly folks, shipped our purchases home for us, package was waiting when we got here. Loved Bar Harbor and plan to return.
We walked from the ship to the Maritime Museum. Much history about the Halifax and the Mont Blanc and the Titanic.
Stopped and ate a lobster roll ate the Lobster Shack and had beer samplers at the local brewery. Could have spent hours and hours here.
