Seeing other reviews on this site for this ship, we were a bit apprehensive about our cruise, although we had seen others that were positive. In particular, we saw complaints about maintenance, public rooms, etc. Our experience was completely to the contrary--absolutely positive--about the ship itself (pristine public rooms), the crew, the food, the service, the ports--all good. We've had well over a dozen cruises, and my wife is an agent who specializes in leisure travel...so we're well-prepared to judge elements of cruise quality...and we were VERY pleased.

We were especially pleased with the quality of the specialty restaurants, although our experience with the main dining room was also very good--very good food and service (which we weren't expecting).

We strongly recommend the full beverage package for any folks that enjoy evenings in the bars/lounges (because drinks are EXPENSIVE), as we do; we really like to have conversations with the cruise staff, and like the musical entertainment in the lounges. (The guitarist/pianist in Gatsby's on our cruise was really delightful.)
