This was my 13th Princess cruise. The first and last on the new Royal. My biggest disappointment in the ship is the lack of an outside promenade deck. You are cut off from the sea unless you go to the top of the ship to the jogging track. Also a large percentage of the passengers cannot use the stairs because of health and overweight issues. This is a problem because although the ship has around 3500 passengers the number of elevators are the same as ships with 1900 passengers. Loaded elevators stopping at every floor and waiting for elevators a lot. It seems that the same group of people have been cruising for the last 15 years and just getting older and older. Young people are not cruising. Princess seems to just be building bigger ships to cram as many on board as possible while this lasts. I got to know some of the people who work on the ship and learned more than I ever have about working for them in low level positions and am not happy about how they are treated basically as property. I had a great time on my European tours and met many nice people both passengers and crew members. I am not that picky about food and I have always enjoyed it.

Some of the musicians were great. Will not be cruising this type of ship again though.
