Sail Date: Aug 2015

We sailed on the Oriana in August for the 3 night cruise to Guernsey and Belgium. This was for my partners 40th birthday.

We booked this almost a year ago after doing our research and paid a fantastic price for an outside cabin. Embarkation from Southampton was easy and quick, we were soon onboard. The cabin was very nice, lovely large window, clean with everything we needed. I did pay a little extra for some flowers in the cabin (for mum, from our 2 young children) which was a lovely bouquet with a note. This went down very well and scored me some brownie points!!

We knew the ship was 20 odd years old but it was very nice, staff were all very good and the service received in the bars and restaurants was excellent. The food was also good in the restaurants at dinner and breakfast. We did pay an extra cover charge to eat at one of the other restaurants on one night which was lovely. We also went to one of the shows which I also think was very good. I also used the gym which was well equipped.
