Took this cruise to Alaska with my adult daughter. It started out bad with lost luggage, grease on my jacket from somewhere on the ship during the lifeboat drill and didn't get any better. It was suggested that I hunt down my own luggage at guest services which is where I found it missing BOTH identification tags. Those airline ID tags on the elastic are impossible to get off without scissors, yet it was gone. Found underwear under the bed that didn't belong to either one of us. We put it in the trash, went out and when we returned we found it folded up nice and neat on the desk. We tried to explain to the cabin steward that they didn't belong to us and to leave them in the trash. Somehow they assumed my daughters bathing suit was also an errant article of clothing. They took the bathing suit bottom but returned it the next day. Weird.

As for everything else, mediocre is the only thing that comes to mind. There seemed to be an upcharge for everything. I was turned away from a happy hour in the Crows Nest on the final day because of a private party. The entertainment was underwhelming. The ship was showing its age. Oddly, when water is considered at premium, the gushing showerhead was delightful. Maybe it was because it was the last sailing to Alaska for the year that the crew wasn't that interested service; this made the mandatory daily service charge (per person) somewhat insulting. If it wasn't for the spectacular setting of Alaska I'd have considered this cruise a total bust. I've been on Royal Caribbean and Norwegian and would recommend either over Holland America.
