The first words that come to mind about Viking are, "what a class act!" Our 15-day Grand European cruise on the Baldur was so absolutely wonderful! Although we have been on many ocean cruises, this was our first river cruise and we did not know what to expect. We should have expected the best because that is certainly what we got! We had a rough start what with missing flights and being dropped off at the wrong boat but we were fortunate that our hotel manager Yens spotted us lugging our luggage and from then on we were in wonderful hands. I cannot say enough about the attentive service we experienced. The dining was excellent and we enjoyed tasting the different dishes from the areas we were visiting as well as the local wines. The music was wonderful; we had fun dancing in the evening. The ports and shore excursions were excellent although we had some very hot days during Europe's heat wave. I have only positive things to say about the cruise and professional personnel. Even our disembarkation was spot on. I would not hesitate to recommend this cruise and Viking to anyone and have already done so.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Stateroom

Our cabin was small but very well appointed and we did not feel in any way cramped since it was very modern and well done.
