This cruise was such a disappointment in so many ways.

First, the videos on the ads show a lovely cruise down a beautiful river with gorgeous views. We had one morning that we sailed among those pretty views. The remainder of the time the views were pretty mediocre or we sailed at night. Viking can't control the views, but they can control the way they portray what you will see.

Second, the bed was so uncomfortable I spent almost every night pacing the room because I couldn't sleep. The one chair in the room was horribly hard. Public area seating was comfortable but on this cloudy and rainy week everyone was sitting inside so availability was limited. Add to this the folks who ran/jogged on the walking track right above our heads...imagine constant thump, thump, thumping. Sleep was hard to come by. Read more
