This is our 5th cruise. It's number three with Carnival. First Husband and I are a 'roll with it ' kind of couple. We definitely don't sweat the small stuff. We enjoyed the Dream and what it had to offer. She's a little lived in and showing some wear but aren't we all.
The first night was a little bumpy. We think a lot of folks were starting their contracts. Service was slow in the MDR. By night two everyone was in the groove and smiles were back. These folks work hard and put up with a lot of ugliness and unrealistic expectations.
Our dining selection was "My Time". Try to get in Naven's section. Great service and a wicked sense of humor. The food was fine. While not always a home run it was better than what we'd get at home. (I don't cook)
Love, love, love the cove balcony. It was wonderful. Private and close to the water. Our stateroom was ample for two with plenty of storage. The shower is smallish but worked fine with the very tall husband. Our room steward was Jimmy. His customer service was exceptional. His last towel sculpture was a heart on our bed. Spent many hours enjoying the view.
