General:
This was our 7th NCL cruise since 2003, but first on this class of ship. We were sailing for the ports so this older ship was a pleasant surprise. The public spaces were clean and looked new, probably due to the refurbishment earlier in the year. A nice atrium with glass elevators, though the grandness was obscured by the arch holding the audio equipment. Design flaw there. And the Spinnaker was like a cave. Flaw. The kids pool at the back of the ship where the Great Outdoors is on Jewel-class ships. Flaw.
Cabin 9508 (assigned from last minute upgrade from OB to BX GTY) was a hull balcony so the opening is about a foot shorter on each side than regular balconies, but really a non-issue for two people to sit/stand and watch the sea. This cabin is at the very front of the ship and we could definitely feel the motion. It was a rough ride to and from Copenhagen. Speaking of Copenhagen, great embarkation with a good 20+ agents and only a couple minute wait in line.
