Although we have been on a number of ocean cruises, this was our first river cruise. It will not be our last. We had heard nothing but rave reviews about Viking and the river cruise experience. This cruise surpassed our expectations. From the time we walked out of customs at Amsterdam's airport until the time we checked in for our flight home, there was always a Viking representative there to take care of us. We never felt alone in a foreign country.

The ship's accommodations and meals exceeded our hopes. The dinning and hotel staffs were pleasant and did everything possible to ensure the trip was enjoyable. The food was excellent and the portions were just right.

The idea of changing tables every meal and meeting different people was great. No matter who we dined with, our wait staff of Jaycee, Josh, and Gilbert were always there to provide great service.

The cabin was clean and the staff was pleasant. I believe it was Anna who was our housekeeper and she was very nice and efficient. We didn't spend a lot of time there. There was plenty to do on other parts of the ship and on shore.
