We did the Western Med cruise from Barcelona in April 2015 , the check in was so smooth, no hassles, no waiting, all excusions i had pre booked was 100% accurate as well as drinks vouchers. The service on the ship, Splendida, was fantastic and our Cabin Assistant was super fiendly and efficient. All excursions were well organised no q's and disembarking and re embarking was very simple. All the ports we visited namely Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia (Rome), Palermo & Valetta were great and we were blessed with awesome weather throughout even though it was early spring. The embarkation in Genoa could be improved, the only port we had a hiccup. The cabin was suffice and well kept, we had a balcony cabin. There is plenty to do and lots of entertainment day and night. We had dinner in the formal restuarant a couple of times as well as buffet area, although busy in buffet area we never stood in long q's and dirty crocery / cutlery was removed very quickly. If there is 1 gripe its the casino area that smells of smoke and unfortunately filters out into areas close by, we avoided that area as often as possible.
