Our first trip on Royal Caribbean. We traveled with family who are RC regulars.

We had cruised from San Juan on one other cruise (Princess) and recommend this port of embarkation. It's easily reached on a direct flight from most East Coast cities and has many hotels on its spectacular beaches to enjoy pre-cruise. Plus, you can purchase a couple of bottles of rum or wine to bring on board!

The ship is not one of the biggest or most modern of RC's fleet but we chose this cruise for the itinerary. We enjoy shore days with active adventures available. We opted for a balcony stateroom and enjoyed the space. The room was clean and well appointed. Our co-travelers had a suite which was quite spacious and gave them amenities such as a concierge to arrange for dinners, etc. Quite nice.
