this is a first on a Viking cruise ship. been on two river cruises and will hopefully go on many more. I dislike cruise ships but was persuaded by wife and friends to give this a try. the ship only holds 900 passengers and is set up with many intimate places on board to relax. the experience was well worth it . the state rooms were great but could have had more drawers to put clothing. the resturants all were fantastic. the port excursions were well planned out and the local guides were very informative and pleasant. we visited venice, split, dubrovnic, corfu, rome, florence, pisa, tuscany, montecarlo, nice, toulon and marsaille. a very busy trip but all in all a very pleasant one . love Viking and I feel they thrive to please every taste. would recommend to anyone wanting to take a cultural journey through time.
all and all very good except could have hav more drawer space for clothing.
very crowded area .walked the streets along the canals full of venders and gondolas. very interesting .
one of the oldest towns buildings were very beautiful and architecture fantastic
visited many different areas with panoramic views of the countryside and stopped for lunch of ethnic food and sampled "ouzo" a very potent local drink
the Vatican city, the collisiem , just much too much to take in in one day. would require a stay just on its own.
