I booked the cruise after finding a good deal about 9 months ahead. Waiting was excrutiating! Here are my cruise on the Norwegian Sun.

Ship Info - This is an older ship due to dry dock in 2016 for much needed updates. You could see the age yet it was nice having a small ship with only 2000 people! I personally will avoid ships older than Jewel class as I like the updates.

Cabin - 8033, a mid-ship balcony room. Perfect spot for access to elevators. I highly recommend a balcony for this cruise for the view of Hubbard Glacier and all the whales you'll see in Icy Strait Point. The only real downside... this may be the smallest bathroom I've seen on ANY cruiseline. The shower is an actual circular stall with a curtain. It was so small I could rest my backside on the wall and touch the curtain with my hands straight out. My larger friend could not shower without getting water everywhere.

Balcony

Cabin BD

Very nice room. The door out to the balcony was hard to open, hard to close, and didn't close on its own, which I've never seen before. Bathroom and shower stall were ridiculously small compared to any cruise I've been on (all 11).

Port Reviews

Seward

Took the train from Anchorage Airport to Seward to board the cruise. Excellent ride, great views, food and service onboard was wonderful. Highly recommend!
