Viking's included river style excursions did not go well in sea ports.

Although there was a rocky start with mechanical problems delaying our departure, Viking did their usual excellent job in handling the problems and provided compensation opportunities. The included "walking' tours and "panoramic" bus tours were very far from Viking's normal standards. Sea ports are simply too far from city center to make visiting them on your own a practical option. Additionally, the 600+ passengers require 6 times as many tour operators as needed for a river cruise stop. We spent way too much time waiting for a bus that did not have windows designed for "panoramic" viewing. There were so many "walking" tour groups that we saw more of our fellow passengers than we did scenery.

Food was good and the specialty restaurants were special. The ship's Entertainment company was very good but the "Local Flavor" entertainers left much to be desired.

The staff was courteous and helpful. The ship is beautiful and our cabin was fantastic.

Cabin Review

Cabin Delux Veranda

Very well organized. Wonderful charging station. Nice TV and a great veranda. Plenty of room for room service dining. Low table is a bit top heavy and I wonder how long it will hold up.
