My daughter and I had cruised with NCL previously (Norwegian Star) so we had a fair idea of what to expect but Epic exceeded our expectations. Following a two night stay in Barcelona, our embarkation experience was quick, efficient and totally stress free. Before we knew it, we were poolside enjoying a drink and a bite to eat.

We had a mid-ship balcony cabin and were amazed at the amount of hanging, drawer and shelf space so there was loads of space for all our girl stuff. We liked the shower/washbasin/toilet set up as it seemed to make good use of space and allowed for a larger than average shower. There wasn't a huge amount of floor space although that wasn't really an issue as how much time do you spend in your cabin?

We enjoyed the shows, especially Burn the Floor and Cirque, and always managed to find an entertainment venue that had something happening that suited our tastes. As for the usual sun lounger issues, we managed to find loungers whatever the time of day although we noticed that the towel brigade were out in force (NCL say they have a policy of removing towels from loungers after so many minutes??). The pool area did get pretty frenetic at some points of the day, but there was a nice party atmosphere and there are plenty of quiet places on board you can go to if it all gets too much.
