Our group was 15 people in 5 different rooms. Let me first say that my family and I have cruised before some of us more than 3+ times on other Cruise lines. We are all pretty laid back average type people. Ages of our group were from 3yrs old up to 65. Most of the adults are 35-42 years old. We are not big complainers or high maintenance people!
We paid over 3k for our balcony room and 2,100 for my mothers cabin with no balcony. This does not include the $13.50 a day PER PERSON in gratuities. Do the math and that comes to approx $400 for 4 people. Although this charge is normal for cruises it was not deserved by many of the crew on this boat. I have been happy to pay that and more on past cruises.
The boat itself including the rooms were very small and we had a mid ship balcony room. The beds were horrible and felt like we were sleeping on a stack of wood with a blanket over the top. EVERYONE had the same feedback including strangers I spoke to on the boat. The food was below average in the cafe and just average in the Venetian. The kids camp looked like a pre-school and really only catered to ages 5 and under so my 9 year old daughter was with us the entire time. (VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH THAT ONE)!!!! She was bored much of the time and this was our vacation and I was hoping to spend time with my wife....alone!
Very small....beds HORRIBLE!!!!
Christian our room Steward was EXCELLENT....he was certainly one of the best we have ever had!
