The Majesty cruise ship was the biggest let down to me. I have been on the Spirit and the Celebration which were both fabulous. The crew in general seemed to be an unhappy lot. Some were pleasant but some just couldn't be bothered. The food in the self service restaurant was really repetitive and not the greatest quality, such a difference to the other ships. The food in the waiter service restaurants was better but as we like to be casual and not dress up for dinner we prefer the self service. I slipped on a wet floor because the sign was placed down the end of a dark passage on deck 10 where you couldn't see it until you were half way down. Luckily I wasn't badly hurt, I did complain and was asked if I needed medical assistance, which I didn't. I was also phoned the next day to see if I was ok. The whole general feeling I got from talking to a lot of other passengers is that the ship was not a happy ship and the quality was not there. The shore excursions were good and plenty of entertainment on board. I would not go on this ship again even if I was offered a free holiday. So sad really as I enjoyed the other cruise so much. It has put me off booking with Thomson again in case the other ships have gone down to the same sad standard.
