My husband and I just came back from our first cruise on the Norweign Breakaway. I can not say it was the best trip ever. The trip was average. The last two years my husband and I cruised on the Royal Carribean. We went on Freedom of the Seas and Allure of the Seas. The Breakaway is very nice, I like the waterfront, but we spent the whole week comparing this ship to the RC ships we were on. The entertainment is average. The food is good but not hot. The casino is to smoky, there should be a non-smoking casino for non smokers. There was more to do on RC. The one thing I liked about the Breakaway is we did not have to fly and we live close to New York.

The staff is hard working and very friendly. Our room steward was not the best, we never saw him but maybe 2 times in a week. On RC the room steward was always around. My husband and I are middle age and retired. We both feel the noise on the boat is to much. The music is to loud. They should tone it down a little. The was a lot of seniors on the ship and were complaining about that. One thing I was impressed with is my husband and I bought the soda package and we both had to buy it. The package did not include bottled water. RC"s soda package did. We were so disappointed. But Norweign did give a credit for the package and refunded us. We thank them for that. We were very surprised that the ship was filled. There was lots of kids on the ship that surprised us to. School started so we figured there would not be a lot of kids but there was. Overall, the week was nice but not the greatest trip we ever had. We will probably be back on RC next year!..
