My life partner and I had never been on a river cruise before, and did not know what to expect. I also have a lot of trouble on ocean cruises and was very worried I would be seasick.

We had a wonderful time, I never felt the movement of the ship and I would recommend this way of cruising to anyone with my same problem of seasickness. We traveled mostly at night and our ports of call were very nice. I am not an early riser, but I did go on all of the tours and loved it. I would have liked to have spend more time in Heidelberg and Colone. It was cooler that I thought that time of year would be, but you can't predict the weather. We enjoyed meeting people from all over and the food was wonderful. The staff was very attentive and good to us. We loved coming back to the ship and them all welcoming us back. We liked our cruise director, he was very funny. We didn't do much of the nightime activities on the ship, it was quite crowded and we are not big drinkers.
