This was a trip of a lifetime. We went with my brother and sister in law celebrating milestone birthdays for the both of them. We spent two great days in Amsterdam prior to the cruise. The guided tour was wonderful, very informative, and the city was just beautiful. The hotel was clean, staff friendly, and full of fun. From the moment we boarded the kvasir we felt welcomed and relaxed. We were impressed with the level of friendliness and capabilities of the staff. Where else are you welcomed aboard with a wet towel to freshen up and a glass of sparkling wine with a smile and welcome!?

The cabins were clean with amazing views outside on our little deck where we could sit and take in the sights. Our cabin steward, mackayla, was amazing. The meals were fantastic. The quality of the food, which you could have as much as you wanted, was wonderful and I'm a food snob. The wait staff couldn't be more accommodating, friendly, personable, and fun.

The tours were, for the most part, very well received. We saw and learned a great deal. There is a lot of walking, however, but they let you know that by indicating how much there is in the packet you receive outlining your entire cruise. Fascinating to be sitting at dinner, looking out the huge windows, seeing the sites along the way and participating in the locks. There were surprises along the way that we did not expect, like the Dutch tea, German night, the bar b q, the "shakes" served above deck, which by the way was awesome. Plenty of protected and unprotected lounge chairs, mini golf, shuffle board, viewing areas. Just a fantastic trip thanks to Viking.

Clean, plenty of space for the trip, actually larger than we thought.
