Sail Date: Jan 2015

I booked this cruise as a surprise for my Mum as friends of ours had done this route the year before (different ship) and had so much fun so were doing it again in 2015.

I have to start by saying that I was one of those people who said that I've got no interest in going on a cruise, mainly because I am a very independent traveller and did not like the idea of being 'trapped' in one place with lots of people that I probably won't have much in common.

Boy, was I wrong. We had a blast! My fear of being surrounded by lots of people/screaming kids and not being to get away was clearly very naïve as we struggled finding our group and went for a day or more not seeing one of the rest of the group apart from at dinner which was booked beforehand.

Cabin Review

We had without any doubt the best cabin on the entire ship! It was right at the front - bow of the ship with an uninterrupted view of the ocean. The cabin was also a lot bigger than I had imagine it would be, large comfy bed, with a sofa and table, plenty of storage space. We had our own private balcony that was big enough for 6 adults to pose for various photos. Mum and I sat there, taking it all in and appreciating how fortunate we are to be able to experience it all. An absolute unique experience.
